Preparing for your visit
Be rest assured of the best of empathic care and support as an individual planning to visit the hospital for assessment and treatment or as a caregiver bringing someone for such. Our services are affordable as we aim to make quality mental healthcare services accessible to all Nigerians.
The hospital has a main center at Yaba that caters for adults and older adults, and an annex at Oshodi that attends to the mental health needs of children, adolescents and adults that require intensive rehabilitation.
Registration and Assessment
The hospital has two points of entry for individuals presenting for the first time; the emergency and amenity departments. The emergency unit is opened 24 hours a day, and throughout the week, while the amenity unit opens 8am -4pm, Monday to Friday. At either of the entry points, a doctor carries out an initial assessment (triage) after which an assessment form is issued. You will then be directed to make payment at the account unit, then get registered at the records unit (these are all happening within the same space), after which you will have a detailed assessment by an assigned doctor.
After the comprehensive assessment, a decision will be arrived at whether to treat as an inpatient or outpatient, depending on a number of factors like severity of illness, safety of the patient and others.
