THE CORE ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT ARE

• Psycho education
• Consultant ward round
• Clinical case presentation   
• Teaching,  Research
• Community mental health promotion
• Professional conferences and seminars
• Training of interns from different institution
• Act as resource person on mental health issues to both government and non-government organization.

The department takes shift in Yaba and actively in the research class lectures which hold every Friday at 8:00 a.m. It also coordinates the Psychotherapy Lectures which hold every Thursdays at 8: 00 a.m. The department also coordinates the monthly Yaba Voice program.

Oshodi Annex

The department is part of mental health team in Child and Adolescent clinic in Oshodi. It has established a sub department in Oshodi annex due to increasing demand for its services in Oshodi. The department participates in the Consultant ward round (firm F) in Oshodi. The department also attend to referred patients for assessment and psychotherapy daily, in Oshodi
